Questions this answers
- How do I connect Thinker to Claude?
- In Thinker, open Settings, then the Claude and ChatGPT tab, and copy the address shown. In Claude, go to Settings, Connectors, Add custom connector, paste it, leave the OAuth fields blank, press Add then Connect, and sign in to Thinker once with the same email. Done.
- Does the connector work with ChatGPT?
- Yes. In ChatGPT go to Settings, Connectors, Create, paste the same address, leave authentication as OAuth, save, and sign in to Thinker once. Custom connectors need a ChatGPT plan that allows them. Same Thinker, same data, a different door.
- What can I do from Claude once it is connected?
- Everything you can do in the chat inside Thinker: see today, build or rebuild your Success Day, add tasks, paste an enormous brain dump and have it sorted, merge duplicates, change rituals, park things, ask what you are avoiding.
- Claude says it cannot see Thinker. What do I check?
- Open the connector in Claude's Settings, Connectors, and check it is switched on with its tools and permissions allowed; they sometimes start off. If it is on and still blank, remove it and add it again, and sign in with the email you use for Thinker.
If you already live in Claude or ChatGPT, you can run Thinker from there. It becomes a connector: your assistant can see and change your tasks, projects, rituals and days, and you talk to it the way you already do. Optional, and once people have it they run half their day through it.
Connecting Claude
- 1In Thinker, open Settings from the menu, then the Claude and ChatGPT tab. Press Copy next to the address shown.
- 2In Claude, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Add custom connector.
- 3Paste the address. Leave the OAuth fields blank.
- 4Press Add, then Connect. You sign in to Thinker once, with the same email you use here, to link it to your account.
Connecting ChatGPT
- 1In ChatGPT, go to Settings, then Connectors, then Create. On some plans it sits under Apps and connectors, and custom connectors need a plan that allows them.
- 2Paste the same address from the Claude and ChatGPT tab. Leave authentication as OAuth and save.
- 3Sign in to Thinker once with the same email. In a chat, switch the Thinker connector on and ask what is on today.
Same Thinker, same data. Whatever you change from ChatGPT is there when you open the app, and the other way round.
Things to try first
- What's on my Success Day today?
- Add chase the unpaid invoice to my tasks.
- Here is my brain dump, sort it. Then paste the lot.
- Merge the two webinar invite tasks.
- Park the website rewrite until January.
- Rebuild my Success Day without the admin.
Worth knowing
- Your own Claude or ChatGPT does the thinking, so chatting through the connector does not use your Thinker credits.
- Thinker checks before it creates anything from a chat and asks about duplicates, exactly as the in-app chat does. A merge keeps everything from both tasks.
- Active connections, Claude and ChatGPT alike, are listed on the Claude and ChatGPT tab with a Revoke button. Revoking disconnects that one at once; you can always reconnect.
- If your subscription is paused after a missed payment, the connector pauses with it and comes back the moment the card is fixed.
