What Thinker is for, and how to get going.Getting the best out of Thinker
The big picture: what Thinker is for, how a normal day flows through it, and the three habits that make the difference. Start here if you have just signed up and you want to understand the whole thing before you touch anything.
Your first week
A gentle day-by-day plan for your first week, so you are not trying to learn everything at once. Do a little each day and by Friday Thinker is running your days properly.
Put Thinker on your phone
Thinker installs onto an iPhone or Android home screen like a normal app, with its own icon and no browser bar. It takes about thirty seconds and it is the single thing that makes people actually use it every day.
Your day
The daily rhythm: dump it, plan it, do it.Brain dump: getting everything out of your head
The Brain Dump is one big pad you empty your head into all day. When you are ready, Thinker sorts it into tasks, projects and ideas so you can stop carrying it. This is how to use it, how to sort it, and where your old dumps live.
Setting up your Success Day
Your Success Day is today's plan: a short, finishable list built around what actually moves your goal, plus your rituals, your briefing and something for yourself. Here is how to get one built and how to make it yours.
Feeling overwhelmed: what to do when it is all too much
When your head is full and you cannot think straight, press the Overwhelmed button. It walks you through emptying your head, sorting it, and getting one short finishable day out of the other end. Takes about ten minutes.
Your work
Tasks, projects, rituals and everything you are not doing yet.Tasks, and how they get prioritised
How to add a task, the one scoring question that matters and the time estimate, what the badge on each card is telling you, and how the weekly swipe deck keeps your list from turning into a graveyard.
Projects
Projects are for work that is bigger than one task. How to create one, the three ways to look at your work (list, board and calendar), and what the Why does this matter field is really for.
Rituals
Rituals are the recurring things you want to keep doing: a morning walk, a Monday numbers review, invoicing on the last working day. Set the rhythm once and they turn up on your Success Day on the right days.
Ideas, Parking and the F*ck It Bucket
Three places for things you are not doing right now, and they mean different things. Ideas is the inbox for maybes, Parking is for later, and the bucket is for no. Here is when to use each.
The AI
The agents, the chat, and what Thinker knows about you.Your AI agents, and putting it on autopilot
There are four agents that do the thinking for you. You can run any of them on demand, or schedule them so your plan is simply there when you sit down. This is what each one does and when to schedule it.
Talking to Thinker
The purple circle in the corner of every page is a real conversation with Thinker. It can see your stuff and change it. Ask it why something is on your day, get it to add tasks, or have it rebuild your plan.
AI Knowledge: what Thinker knows about you
The single highest-value page in the app. What you write here is what every plan, briefing and idea review is judged against. Fifteen minutes here is worth more than any other setup you can do.
Credits, and what things cost
Every AI action uses credits from a monthly allowance. Where to see what you have left, roughly what each thing costs, and what happens if you run out.
Set-up and help
Settings, calendars, rest days and how to reach a human.Settings you will actually want to change
Most of Settings you can ignore. These are the few that genuinely change how Thinker behaves: your timezone, time tracking, categories, and your plan.
Rest days and lighter days
Tell Thinker when you are off or need a gentler day and it stops planning for you, pauses your rituals, and does not mark anything as missed. How to set them and what actually changes.
Connecting your calendar
Connect Google, Apple or Outlook and Thinker plans your day around your meetings instead of pretending you have eight free hours. Includes what the four settings on each calendar mean.
Connecting Zoom: calls become to-dos
Connect your Zoom and every call you record to the cloud lands on your Calls page with its suggested to-dos: the things you said you'd do, each backed by the quote from the call. Approve, edit or bin each one.
Getting help, reporting a bug, asking for a feature
Where to go when something is broken, when you want Thinker to do something it does not do yet, or when you just need a human. All three live behind the purple circle in the corner.
Still stuck?
Open the pink circle at the bottom right of the app and ask Thinker directly. It can see your own set-up, and it can fix things for you.
