Connecting Zoom: calls become to-dos
Connect your Zoom and every call you record to the cloud lands on your Calls page with its suggested to-dos: the things you said you'd do, each backed by the quote from the call. Approve, edit or bin each one.

Questions this answers
- What does connecting Zoom to Thinker do?
- Every call you record to the cloud lands on your Calls page a few minutes after it ends, with the to-dos you committed to, each backed by the line from the transcript where you said it. Nothing is added to your list until you approve it.
- What do I need for Zoom calls to reach Thinker?
- A paid Zoom plan with cloud recording on and Create audio transcript ticked, and calls recorded to the cloud rather than your computer. Then in Thinker, Settings, AI Agents, Calls section, press Connect Zoom.
- Does Thinker listen to my meetings or keep the video?
- No. It reads the transcript text of your own cloud recordings after the call. It never downloads audio or video, never joins a meeting, and transcripts are private to your account.
- How do I disconnect Zoom from Thinker?
- Settings, then AI Agents, then Disconnect in the Calls section. New recordings stop arriving immediately, and calls and tasks already in Thinker stay because they are your data.
Every business owner leaves calls with promises in their head: I'll send that over, leave it with me. Then the next call starts and half of it evaporates. Connect Zoom and Thinker catches those promises for you: a few minutes after a cloud-recorded call ends, the call appears on your Calls page with the to-dos you committed to, each one backed by the exact line from the transcript where you said it.
What you need
- A paid Zoom plan (Pro or above). Free Zoom has no cloud recording, so there is no transcript for Thinker to read.
- Cloud recording switched on in Zoom, with Create audio transcript ticked (steps below).
- Calls recorded to the cloud, not to your computer.
Adding the app: connect your Zoom
- 1In Thinker, open Settings, then AI Agents, and find the Calls section.
- 2Press Connect Zoom.
- 3Sign in to Zoom if asked, review the permissions, and press Allow.
- 4You land back in Thinker with a green Connected tick. Done.
Then check your Zoom recording settings once: sign in at zoom.us, open Settings, then the Recording tab. Switch Cloud recording on, and under the advanced cloud recording options tick Create audio transcript. If you want to never think about it again, also switch on Automatic recording set to Record in the cloud.
Using it
Record your Zoom calls to the cloud like normal. Zoom takes around 5 to 20 minutes after a call ends to finish the transcript; when it is ready, the call appears in Calls in your sidebar with a count of suggestions waiting. Thinker sorts what it finds the same way it sorts a brain dump: single actions become suggested tasks, a big multi-step outcome becomes a suggested project with a starter task list, something you agreed to do on a rhythm becomes a suggested ritual, and a maybe you floated becomes an idea for the ideas inbox. Approve each one to make it real, Edit to reword or resize it first, Bin to discard it. The full transcript is on the same page if you want to check anything, and it shows up in search too.
Suggestions are deliberately picky: they are the things YOU committed to, not other people's action items and not every vague we-should-really from the call. A call with no commitments produces no suggestions, and that is the feature working. The one exception to picky: talk to Thinker directly on the call (“Thinker, create a project called Spring Relaunch”) and it will suggest exactly what you asked for, with the name you said.
What Thinker can and cannot see
- It reads the transcript text of your own cloud recordings, and your Zoom user ID and email once at connection time so your calls can be matched to your account.
- It never downloads audio or video, never joins your meetings, and does not listen live.
- Transcripts are stored privately in your own Thinker account. Teammates never see them.
Removing the app
- 1In Thinker: Settings, then AI Agents, then press Disconnect in the Calls section. New recordings stop arriving immediately.
- 2In Zoom (optional, removes the authorisation on Zoom's side too): sign in at marketplace.zoom.us, open Manage, then Added Apps, find Thinker and press Remove.
Calls and tasks already in Thinker stay after disconnecting; they are your data. Delete any call from its page and its transcript goes with it, and deleting your Thinker account removes everything.
