Questions this answers
- When is the Thinker Walkthrough?
- Every Friday at 2pm UK time, live on Zoom, for about half an hour. Thinker shows you the day and time in your own time zone, so for some people it is a Saturday morning.
- How do I join the walkthrough?
- Go to mythinker.io/walkthrough and register once. Zoom emails you a personal link that works for every walkthrough after that, so you never need to register again.
- Where are the walkthrough replays?
- At mythinker.io/walkthrough/replays, for members only. Sign in and the player opens on the latest recording, with the earlier ones behind it. Each new recording lands there on its own after the session.
- How do I stop the walkthrough reminder appearing?
- Press I've been to one on the card. That is the only way it goes for good. The minus button only shrinks it to a pill in the corner until the next time you load a page.
Reading about Thinker only gets you so far. Watching someone use it, with real tasks and real decisions, is the quickest way to get properly up and running. So every week Cordelia hosts a live walkthrough: she builds a day, answers questions, and shows how other members are actually using it.
When it is
Every Friday at 2pm UK time, on Zoom, for about half an hour. Wherever Thinker mentions it, the day and time are shown in your own time zone, so you never have to do the maths. If you are far enough east that the UK Friday afternoon is your Saturday morning, Thinker says Saturday.
Getting in
- 1Go to mythinker.io/walkthrough. It takes you to the Zoom registration page.
- 2Register once. Zoom emails you a personal link.
- 3That link works for every walkthrough from then on. You never need to register again.
- 4Want it in your diary? mythinker.io/walkthrough.ics adds the next session to your calendar.
How Thinker reminds you
- A task: when you first join, Thinker adds a task called Come to a "My Thinker" Walkthrough, dated to the next session. If you cannot make that one, push the task on seven days.
- A card: on Mondays and Wednesdays a small card appears bottom left of every page until you have been to one. There is no close button on purpose. Press the minus to shrink it to a pill while you work, or press I've been to one and it goes for good.
- A message on the day: on walkthrough day a message lands in What's new, the bell in the purple circle, with a Save my seat link and an Add to calendar link. It stays there after you have read it, so you can come back for the links.
- The Help hub: the top of the Help page always shows the next session in your time.
Missed one? Watch the replay
Every walkthrough is recorded. The recording goes up on its own shortly after the session ends, once Zoom has finished processing it, and lands on the replays page inside Thinker. The player opens on the latest one, and the earlier ones are behind it, newest first.
What to bring
Whatever you are stuck on. The session is live and small enough that your question gets answered on the spot. If it is bigger than one question, the walkthrough is the right place for it rather than the chat. For a bug or a feature idea, see Getting help.
